Vertex in Texas, USA: About the project
When the infamous wrestling family, Mark Callaway – The Undertaker, and Michelle McCool Callaway, reached out to say they were fans of our work, and would like a slide for their new home, we were thrilled to put one of our pool slides through its paces!
As a super-active family, we knew they were going to play hard, and with the Texan sunshine, we knew our water cooling system was going to need to rise to the occasion too!
Having installed in many hot climates such as the UAE, and carried out other Texan installs, we knew our proprietary four-way cooling system was more than up to the job.
Set, pride of place, on the elevated pool deck, views of the Vertex slide can be enjoyed from the house, and since it stands tall over the landscape, the view from the top is pretty spectacular too!
The exquisite curves of their Vertex slide beautifully offset the sharp lines of their contemporary home.
About the Vertex slide
Pool slide used: Vertex 3300.
Key features: Right-hand turn, with a water-cooling system
Material of the slide: 316L marine-grade stainless steel.
Special considerations of the project
With the scorching Texan sunshine, the water-cooling system was tested to cool all the slide’s touch points down to useable temperature in 15 seconds.
